Code of Conduct
The standards we ask of every candidate, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
When we put your name forward, an employer, a family and a work permit all rest on what your application says being true. This code sets out how we expect candidates to conduct themselves, from a first enquiry through to arrival and the first months in the job.
Who We Can Put Forward
To be considered for employment opportunities through Michael TalentHub, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate respect for diversity, inclusion and multicultural working environments, with the ability to work effectively alongside people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Possess a strong work ethic, professionalism, integrity and a willingness to learn, grow and adapt to new working environments and cultures.
- Have relevant qualifications and practical work experience related to the position for which they are applying.
- Possess German language proficiency appropriate for the role, where required, or demonstrate a genuine commitment to learning the language.
- Hold recognised, authentic and verifiable university, technical, vocational or professional qualifications and certifications relevant to their field.
What We Ask of You
Integrity is not a formality in this process. It is what makes a placement hold.
Genuine documents only
Every certificate, transcript, reference and identity document you send us must be authentic, issued to you, and unaltered. We verify them, and so do the German authorities.
An accurate account of yourself
State your qualifications, experience and language level as they are. A role you can do well is worth more than one you were placed in on paper.
One identity, one application
Apply under your own legal name and details, and tell us if you are already working with another agency on the same route.
Speak for yourself
Sit your own language exams, tests and interviews. No one else may answer on your behalf at any stage.
Keep us informed
Reply to messages, keep your contact details current, and tell us promptly about anything that affects your case, including a previous visa refusal or another offer.
Respect people and rules
Treat our team, our partners and your future colleagues with courtesy, and observe German law and the conditions of your residence permit once you arrive.
What We Cannot Accept
- Forged, altered or purchased certificates, references, transcripts or identity documents.
- Qualifications, work experience or language levels that are overstated or invented.
- Another person sitting an exam, test or interview in your place.
- Paying anyone who claims they can guarantee you a job offer or move you up a list.
- Withholding information an employer or the authorities are entitled to know.
- Harassment, discrimination or abusive conduct towards our staff, our partners or an employer's team.
If This Code Is Broken
Where any of the above comes to light, we withdraw the application and tell the employer, and we notify the relevant authorities where the law requires it. Falsified documents also carry consequences well beyond us: a work permit can be revoked, a contract ended, and a re-entry ban imposed. One invented certificate makes every honest applicant from the same region harder to place, which is why we treat this as a red line rather than a technicality.
What You Can Expect From Us
- We will never ask you to pay for a job offer, and we will put your own official costs in writing before you commit to anything.
- We will describe a role honestly, including the parts of it that are demanding.
- We will handle your documents and personal data under the GDPR, and share them with an employer only with your specific consent for that role.
- We will assess every candidate on merit, regardless of nationality, gender, religion, age or disability.
Raising a Concern
If anyone asks you for a payment in our name, offers to supply a certificate, or treats you in a way that falls short of this code, tell us. Concerns are treated confidentially and reviewed by our leadership team.
